DRUG CLASS AND MECHANISM: Capozide is a combination of
captopril (Capoten) and hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ), an angiotensin
converting enzyme inhibitor and a diuretic (water pill) used in the
treatment of high blood pressure and congestive heart failure. For

PREPARATIONS: Tablets: 25mg captopril and 15mg
hydrochlorothiazide; 25mg
captopril and 25mg hydrochlorothiazide; 50mg captopril and 15mg
hydrochlorothiazide; 50mg captopril and
25mg hydrochlorothiazide.
STORAGE: Tablets should be stored at room temperature,
15-30°C (59-86°F).
PRESCRIBED FOR: Capozide is used to treat high
blood pressure. It also can be used to treat congestive heart
failure.
DOSING: Capozide usually is taken two or three times daily.
